The Fictional News
Concept for an Android mobile app, that provides daily curated news to subscribers of Fictional Publishing.
It features a simple and clean layout, with smooth transitions between articles and limited actions that can be performed – thus allowing the users to focus on the content.

Hi there! Sorry to bother your – I’m a design student at Academy of Art University, and I’m designing a news app for people that want a quick news briefing in the morning.
Do you have 10 minutes to try my app, and answer some questions?
If you’re OK with it, I’ll be taking some notes of your feedback, that will help me improve the app and hopefully get an A in my class.

- Interview 1 feedback
- Login screen looks good, more info about what the app does would help
- Expecting to be able to access news articles from the main page / links don’t work
- Menu disappears when going into different sections
- Back button at the bottom of the pages is hard to spot
- Interview 2 feedback
- Hamburger menu “looks old”, would like to see something more stylized
- Adding more color to the site, would make it more engaging
- Layout is simple and pretty straight-forward
- Make it more visual, include more images

- Fonts are easy to read, likes the font size as well
